Bardsley New Dog "Pudge"

Alex and Ellie at the Human Society adopting "Pudge"

Pudge is 1.5 years old. He is a Border Collie cross with Chow Chow. We thought he was like our other family dog "Chug" that passed away a few years ago.

His nature is chill. We haven't heard him bark yet and he likes to be close to everyone. His eyes seem to reveal an old soul. He has puppy-ish ears and a good looking snout. This is why Ellie named him "Pudge" - because of his pudgy fat nose.

One of the reasons that we adopted him is because he needs a leg amputation. The Human Society thinks that   maybe a car hit his back right leg and it healed up broken. He doesn't use it and is in pain because of the breakage. So, in the long run he will be better off as a Tipod Dog.  Right now we have to lift him into the car and he avoids any stairs.

Christmas Eve 2011

This year we hosted Christmas Eve dinner with Kadin, Melissa and Alex's God Father, Peter Maxwell.
We missed GMA Sally being down in Texas with Great Grandma Jane.
Later in the evening our family went with Pete to Christmas Eve service at First Pres. for their candle light service. It was great to sing so many Christmas songs!

Ellie's Christmas Performance

Ellie's Christmas performance at Porter Middle school was very impressive. The school sets up 3 sections of music in the gym including a full Orchestra, full Band and the Choir.

Ellie is a singer. A high soprano to be exact. She took singing & piano lessons for years from Lee Heuermann, local composer, singer, actor, pianist and Adjunct Assistant Professor of music at the University of Montana. Lee is an amazing musical delight, one of my favorite people in Missoula. She is a truly gifted artist and teacher.

This year, Ellie was selected for 2 solos with other girls. Both songs she auditioned for and she was excited for the performance. Also one of her poems was voted on by the music club to be read as well.

Tree Chopping & Tree Decorating

This season has been hectic, but at 4:40pm we found our children, and the saw to drive up the Deer Creek Sneak just outside of East Missoula. We looked for a tree to cut down. It was nearly dark, but we were able to find a good one, and I said yes to the first tree (which shocked my family.) Usually I make up wander around the forest for hours.
