Out of Bounds Skiing

The Hike up to the top of Point Six

While our kids were with their Free Style Teams, John and I snuck out of Snowbowl for some out-of-bounds skiing. We hiked up to the Death Star and Point Six and skied the trees back into the resort boundary.
Dont worry, there is no risk of avalanche where we skied. Here is the film from our fun little adventure.

This year we put our kiddos on the Snowbowl Freestyle Ski Team.

Ellie is on the Devo Team that focuses on "all mountain skiing, jumps and techniques"

Alex is on the Free Ride Team, which focuses on areal tricks, terrain park and all mountain slope style. Both teams have amazing coaches that push them.

It has been great to watch the kids skills advance. Ellie now is searching for jumps to hit when we ski with her. It used to be that she wanted to be the fastest down the hill (still sorta true) but now she wants "air" too.
