Modern Art in San Fransico - Experience it with a 12yr old

LOVE!

For graduation from UM with my BFA in Art, I gave myself the gift of travel.
Although I love my husbands mad-adventures in the back-country, I equally love to go to the city for food, art and culture.
So, I cashed-in my airline miles to take my daughter with me to San Fransico. Ellie is a pro at traveling. After living in Europe and New Zealand  and visiting over 15 different countries, she is really fun to jump on a plane with.
One of my very fave things to do with her is go to Art Musuems and galleries - so this was a real treat. Below are images for the MOMA in San Fransico.

Acclaimed San Francisco-based artist Jim Campbell explodes the moving image into three dimensions, illuminating the Haas Atrium with a flickering grid of light that is part sculpture, part cinematic screen. Thousands of computer-controlled LED spheres create the illusion of fleeting shadowlike figures that dissolve and resolve as one moves around and beneath the suspended, chandelierlike matrix. Exploded Views investigates the nuances of perception through a series of four different films, changing every two months. The first film was a collaboration with Alonzo King's LINES Ballet; the second studied a flock of birds; the third considered the unrehearsed movements of San Francisco pedestrians; the intensely choreographed fourth film, on view in May and June, captures a boxing match up close with a moving camera.
