I have had this lake on my list for a while. Crater lake is the deepest lake in the US, fed primarily from snow and rain, it is truly gorgeous and clean. And did I say cold? Yes, but that didn't stop us from jumping in. This amazing lake was formed 7,700 years ago when the Peak was collapsed after a massive eruption. We had a great night sleep in the Cascade mountain range after an awesome dip in the lake.
