Our friends that live in Cali told Ellie and I to check out Fern Canyon if we come down south from Montana. Luckly we have a high clearance rig (4 runner) the road is fairly nasty to the trailhead. (30 mins)
The beginning of this hike had amazing views of Elk, yes - ELK! They were just hanging out on the beach. This hike was so lush and green. Gorgeous vertical walls of ferns, and Ellie loved climbing up and over all the trees in our path.
